On June 5, the Onet Foundation took part in the Night of the Common Good in Marseille. Organized by the Fondation de France Méditerranée and Obole, this charity event brought the city of Marseille to life, offering a memorable evening that celebrated sharing, solidarity, and a commitment to the common good.
The 2023 Night of the Common Good brought together people from all walks of life in Marseille, creating an atmosphere of warmth and diversity. Among the 900 people in the audience were residents, local organizations, and civil society leaders who gathered to celebrate the positive and inspiring initiatives that are helping to improve life in Marseille.
The main goal of the event was to raise funds to support local initiatives and projects that work for the common good. The donations collected during the live auction will enable these organizations to launch or continue their community-focused efforts.
The Onet Foundation, a sponsor of the event, wanted to support La Maison de Marthe et Marie, which helps pregnant women in vulnerable situations by offering them an innovative housing solution through shared housing based on mutual support, and Ensemble deux générations, which helps rebuild ties between generations through intergenerational cohabitation.
She also wanted to lend a hand to the Cantina organization—which is dedicated to raising public awareness about food waste—as it launched its third place, “Le plan de A à Z.”
A total of €433,400 in donations was raised for this second edition of Marseille for the Common Good.
