Home » 2026 Hygiene Product Drive: A National Effort to Help Those in Need
From March 9 to 30, the Foundation coordinated its annual hygiene product drive, involving nearly 40 Onet Group sites across France. This initiative aims to improve access to hygiene products for people in vulnerable situations, an issue that affects several million of our citizens. Thanks to the commitment of project leaders and the generosity of employees at each participating site, this year’s drive collected a significant volume of donations to meet the needs of more than twenty local partner organizations across the country.
The donated items—soap, shampoo, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, and other essential supplies—were delivered to local organizations. These organizations—whether day centers, food pantries, or shelters—work directly with the most vulnerable populations and now have tangible support to continue their daily work.
This local focus is at the heart of the Foundation’s mission: to take action where the need is greatest, working alongside community organizations that know their local areas and the people they serve
Four million women in France today face menstrual insecurity, unable to afford menstrual products due to a lack of financial resources. According to the IFOP Hygiene and Insecurity Survey published in January 2025, one in ten French women has already had to skip work or stay home because she lacked menstrual products. Beyond the discomfort, it is their ability to participate in social and professional life that is at stake.
In light of this situation, the Onet Propreté et Services site in Entraigues, led by Ingrine Caramico, directed its donations to the organization Vivre Femmes, based in Aubignan, in the Vaucluse department. As the only shelter in rural Vaucluse dedicated to women who are victims of domestic or intra-family violence, Vivre Femmes offers them comprehensive support—psychological, legal, administrative, and health-related—in a safe environment conducive to recovery. The association also works to promote gender equality through educational initiatives, prevention efforts, and awareness campaigns addressing invisible forms of violence.
The collected hygiene products provide tangible support to these women in their daily lives, at a time in their lives when access to essential items is key to their dignity and independence.
In France, 20% of students are considered to be living in precarious circumstances. The 2025 annual survey by COP1 and IFOP reveals that 23% of female students still experience period poverty—a rate higher than the national average—and that 42% of them have already foregone gynecological care. These figures serve as a reminder that, for some young people, access to basic hygiene products remains a daily challenge.
To address this, seven Onet Group sites have joined forces to support the COP1 association: the Onet Propreté et Services Saint-Martin-du-Vivier Regional Office (Rouen), Onet Services Dunkerque, Onet Services Lille, Onet Services Amiens, Onet Services Saint-Omer, Onet Services Calais, and Onet Accueil Saint-Martin-du-Vivier. This collective effort, spanning several regions in the Nord and Normandy departments, demonstrates the Foundation’s ability to bring people together across different professions and regions around a common cause.
Founded in 2020 by students at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, COP1 Solidarités Étudiantes is an independent organization that stands out for offering support provided by and for students. It organizes free distributions of food, hygiene products, and clothing, and provides access to rights, culture, and sports for any student or young person under the age of 26 in need. With over 2,000 volunteers, it operates in many French cities, including Rouen and Lille. Distributions take place outside university campuses to protect the privacy of recipients and ensure accessibility for all.
Beyond the items collected, this drive demonstrates the power of a shared effort. At each participating location, employees got involved, turning individual acts of kindness into a collective effort.
This latest edition of the hygiene product drive underscores the importance of this commitment to the Onet Foundation. It also paves the way for new waves of solidarity throughout the year, driven by employees who, every day, choose to work toward a more inclusive world.
