11th Annual Solidarity and Housing Day for the Onet Foundation

On Friday, September 23, Solidarity and Housing Day was held in France and around the world. A dozen solidarity initiatives took place in France—inPoissy, Nyons, Chartres, Marseille, Évreux, Bernay, and Lyon—as well as abroad in Brazil, Luxembourg, and Spain. Many volunteer employees from the Onet Group joined forces to support the Foundation’s efforts, alongside volunteers from the organizations they assist, to renovate facilities designed to care for the most vulnerable.

Substandard housing at the heart of the Onet Foundation’s initiatives

The Onet Foundation carries out concrete initiatives to support people in vulnerable situations, with the aim of improving their living conditions and providing them with access to sanitation and food aid. Since 2010, in order to contribute to human development in a healthy and safe environment, the Onet Foundation has relied not only on the commitment of Onet Group employees but also on partnerships with nonprofit organizations

The Onet Foundation has also developed two initiatives:

  • Modulomobil, a storage facility that provides homeless people with a space or locker where they can store their personal belongings—which often contain their entire lives—for a few hours.
  • O’lien, a secure, self-contained shower truck that provides homeless and poorly housed individuals with showers and clean clothes. (Available since 2017 in Marseille and since 2021 in Clermont-Ferrand).

For this11thedition, many volunteers stepped up to help with various projects to renovate community centers and/or shelters.

Once again this year, thanks to the efforts of volunteer project leaders, several organizations in France and abroad were able to benefit from this Solidarity and Housing Day. It provides an opportunity to bring together all Onet Group employees around simple yet meaningful initiatives.

Solidarity and Housing Day is:

  • Nearly 200 volunteers signed up in 2022
  • 84 care and residential facilities have received support since 2011
