Onet Fund for Solidarity and Housing

An endowment fund to support our efforts

Every day, many people in vulnerable situations need practical solutions to improve their daily lives.

To amplify the impact of its social initiatives, the Onet Foundation has established a dedicated funding program. Thanks to this fund, meaningful and sustainable projects are being launched across France, tailored to local needs.

A tool for solidarity-based financing that serves the public interest

In 2014, Onet established an endowment fund: the Onet Fund for Solidarity and Housing, a nonprofit legal entity recognized for its social purpose.

The endowment fund’s purpose is to finance, either directly or through nonprofit organizations, initiatives that serve the public interest—particularly those launched by the Onet Corporate Foundation—in the areas of social solidarity and housing.

Why an endowment fund?

Onet’s endowment fund status allows it to raise external funding and accept donations to support innovative social projects.

This status also entitles donors to tax breaks:

  • 66% of the donation amount is tax-deductible for individual income tax purposes

  • 60% for businesses, up to 5% of revenue excluding tax
(In accordance with Articles 200 and 238 bis of the General Tax Code)

What is an endowment fund?

It is a private, non-profit legal entity established to manage funds derived from donations or bequests, and to use or redistribute those funds for activities that serve the public interest.

(Reference: Section 140 of Law No. 2008-776 of August 4, 2008 – declaration may be filed with the prefecture.)

Concrete actions made possible

The endowment fund has helped finance several projects with a significant social impact: In 2016, it contributed to the purchase of the O’lien shower truck, which was donated to the City of Marseille to improve access to hygiene for homeless people. In 2018, it supported the creation of the Modulomobil, an innovative mobile storage facility for people living on the streets. Since then, other charitable initiatives have been carried out thanks to donations received, always in the public interest.

Structured governance

The endowment fund’s board of directors consists of:

  • 6 members representing the founding companies

  • 3 external experts from the social, nonprofit, or legal sectors
This governing body is identical to that of the Onet Foundation, thereby ensuring strategic consistency.

Poverty doesn’t stop at the dinner table. It also plays out within the four walls of a home. Faced with substandard housing, thousands of people live every day in undignified conditions or are homeless.
