Home » Major Food Bank Drive: A Mobilization Marked by Solidarity and Commitment
On November 28 and 29, solidarity was in full swing during the National Food Bank Drive. The Onet Foundation once again joined forces with volunteers and partners to address the food crisis. Here’s a look back at a weekend marked by collective action.
In an economic climate that remains challenging for many households, the Food Bank’s annual event serves as a vital link in France’s food aid network. Over the course of three days, citizens, businesses, and organizations joined forces to collect essential food items for those most in need.
At the departmental level, the generosity of the residents of Bouches-du-Rhône was once again evident. Thanks to the efforts of more than 3,000 volunteers deployed across 220 partner stores, the results demonstrate remarkable resilience:
These figures underscore the importance of donor loyalty and the effectiveness of the local Food Bank in turning this outpouring of generosity into tangible assistance.
In keeping with its mission to combat poverty, the Onet Foundation organized a local food drive on Friday, November 28, and Saturday, November 29, at theIntermarché Sainte-Marguerite in Marseille.
This initiative demonstrated how the various ways Onet employees can get involved complement one another:
In total, this group of about ten volunteers collected 580 kg of food and hygiene products. Beyond the numbers, this effort embodies the Foundation’s commitment to putting people at the heart of its work and empowering every employee to play a tangible role in supporting their local community, according to their individual circumstances.
In addition to its departmental initiatives, the Onet Foundation has launched a nationwide fundraising campaign. Collection points were set up at several Onet locations, enabling support for nearly 20 local organizations. This initiative demonstrates the Group’s commitment to tailoring its charitable efforts to the specific needs of each region and to facilitating the participation of all its employees, regardless of their location.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Onet employees who volunteered, the partner store in Marseille, and every donor for their generosity. While the major food bank drive is a highlight of the year, the fight against poverty and social exclusion is a daily struggle.
This event serves as a reminder that it is through the combination of individual actions and collective efforts that we are able to provide lasting support to those who need it most. Throughout 2026, the Onet Foundation will continue to support projects with a strong social impact to build a more compassionate world.
